Flying Lizard No. 46 2nd, No. 44 7th and No. 45 9th in GT2 at St. Pete
April 5, 2008 -- St. Petersburg, Florida -- It was a bittersweet finish for the Lizards at today's Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg. In a difficult race which claimed numerous cars, the No. 46 Porsche of Johannes van Overbeek and Patrick Pilet hung in through a late-race contact with the No. 28 Corvette (and a resulting spin) to finish second in GT2: their first podium of the year. The No. 45 Porsche of Joerg Bergmeister and Wolf Henzler fell out of second place after a disappointing incident with the No. 20 prototype with just 15 minutes to go in the race. Damage to the radiator caused the car to finish in the pits, ninth in class. The No. 44 emerged unscathed to finish seventh.
