Flying Lizard Qualifies 3rd, 5th and 7th in GT2 for Mid-Ohio

July 18, 2008--Lexington, OH-- The Flying Lizard No. 45, 46 and 44 Porsches qualified third, fifth and seventh, respectively, in GT2 for tomorrow's Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio, the sixth of eleven races in the 2008 ALMS season.

All three Lizard Porsches headed out at the start of the 20-minute qualifying session, with Wolf Henzler behind the wheel of the No. 45, Patrick Pilet in the No. 46 and Lonnie Pechnik in the No. 44. Scorching temperatures in the 90's made for a very hot qualifying session on the 2.25-mile circuit, with track temperatures nearing 115 degrees.

In the No. 45, Wolf's fastest time of 1:20.226 was just two-tenths of a second off of the pole sitter, Jaime Melo in the No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari.

Crew chief and co-technical director Tommy Sadler commented on the session, "We still have the morning warmup tomorrow to make some changes and finalize the setups, but in general today's results are a solid starting point for the team. It's great to see Risi back at the front of the grid and we look forward to giving them a good race tomorrow."
