Patrick Long Qualifies No. 45 Flying Lizard Porsche 8th in GT, No. 44 13th for Mid-Ohio
August 6, 2010 – Lexington, Ohio – The GT field showed its depth today with the top nine GT cars within a one second spread on the 2.258-mile road course. In the No. 45 Flying Lizard Porsche, Patrick Long qualified eighth in class and in the No. 44 Seth Neiman was thirteenth.
After sweltering heat at Lime Rock two weeks ago, the weather gods are cooperating this weekend with mild temperatures in the low eighties for today's two practice sessions and qualifying. Patrick commented on the qual session, "Overall, we're happy with qualifying; we had no issues with traffic or handling and improved quite a bit from final practice to qualifying -- all progressive, linear improvement. Our strategist Thomas Blam found me a nice gap and the changes that engineer Stefan Pfeiffer made meant that I had two clear laps in the same tenth. Unfortunately, we aren't at the front of the grid, but it only makes us more focused to battle back in the race tomorrow."

Following their win at Lime Rock last weekend, Long and teammate Joerg Bergmeister are currently in the lead of the GT drivers' championship and Flying Lizard leads in the team points. For Mid-Ohio, guest driver Patrick Pilet will join Neiman in sister Porsche No. 44 to fill in for Darren Law who has a scheduling conflict.
