2011 Le Mans Cars No. 81 (blue) and No. 80 (orange) |
Flying Lizard No. 80 and No. 81 - 2011 Le Mans Porsche - 1:43 scale The Flying Lizard 2011 Le Mans 1:43 scale models are now available! Both cars sport the commemorative livery as raced in the 2011 24 Heures du Mans. Created by California-based artist Troy Lee, the livery celebrates the history of Porsche at Le Mans, featuring the 28 drivers who have won the 24 Heures du Mans overall in a Porsche. The No. 80 and No. 81 designs are identical, implemented in complementary colors: candy metallic orange for the No. 80 and candy metallic blue for the No. 81; both anchored by a deep ocean blue. Primary colors provide a backdrop for the driver names and flags which weave throughout the design on the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. The implementation of the cars took countless hours by the crew. Each panel was prepped and paint in our shop by the primary paint crew Nacho and Ruben. Next, vinyl was sized, cut and applied by James Naccarato and his company, Iconography Studios. Once the vinyl was applied, multiple coats of clear were added for protection and depth. The end result in real life was spectacular as are the models! Each is crafted with meticulous detail that is customary for our good partner, Spark/Minimax. Each model is attached to a proprietary Flying Lizard black MDF base (5.5 inches by 2.875 inches), that is printed with the driver autographs and descriptive text. In addition to the autographs, the No 80 is printed with: "Jorg Bergmeister, Patrick Long and Lukas Luhr" along one side and "Flying Lizard Motorsports - 2011 24 Heures du Mans GTE Pro No. 80 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR" along the other side. The No 81 is printed with: Seth Neiman, Darren Law and Spencer Pumpelly along one side and "Flying Lizard Motorsports - 2011 24 Heures du Mans GTE Am No. 81 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR" on the other side. In addition, each model has a proprietary Flying Lizard slip cover.

2011 Porsche-powered Riley DP Front-Side
|
Flying Lizard No. 45 Porsche-powered Riley DP 1:43 scale - Limited Edition After an incident put the car off track in hour four, the team fought to regain positions. Unfortunately, the car retired due to a small engine fire in hour 23 with 90 minutes left in the race. The No. 45 was eleventh (overall and in class) at the time of retirement. The livery design was beautiful and so well received, that despite the unfortunate end, we had to release a replica. This model is manufactured by Spark/Minimax and is exclusive to Flying Lizard. The model is crafted in the same manner that has made Spark the premiere model maker, second to none. The packaging includes Spark's standard acrylic case and the custom Flying Lizard-branded outer slip cover.
The model is attached to a black MDF base (5.5 inches by 2.875 inches), that is printed with "J. Bergmeister - P. Long - S. Neiman and J. van Overbeek" along one edge with accompanying printed driver signatures. "Flying Lizard No. 45 - Porsche-powered Riley DP, 2011 Rolex 24 At Daytona - Overall Pole Winner and Fastest Race Lap" is printed along the opposite edge. This car is approximately 4 inches x 2 inches and 1.25 inches tall.

Flying Lizard 911 Toy Cars - Four Colors! This cool toy car was an immediate hit with me and my six year old kids. Ok, so it isn't a GT3 RSR.. but it was the closest we could get without waiting a year and giving a commitment that would rival our spare parts budget. This diecast model has a surprising amount of detail and is tough enough to stand up to plenty of punishment, on or off the track! It features a pullback and release motor, or you can easily push it without engaging the motor. In addition, both doors, plus the hood opens.
The car comes in four colors, each with the Flying Lizard logo silkscreened on the hood. This car is for kids three years old and above - including
big "kids" that have no plans to grown up.

Flying Lizard 2009 Season Art Print Our team photographer Bob Chapman stationed himself at the top of Turn 11 at Road America as the No. 45 Porsche crested. We all loved the image, as did designer Steve Pattee - so much that we decided to create our 2009 Team Art Print using it. 2007 12 Hours of Sebring Art Print Sebring 2007 saw the launch of the first 997-based 911 GT3 RSRs in the U.S. The Lizards will never forget this race! The Lizard No. 45 Porsche (Jörg Bergmeister/Johannes van Overbeek/Marc Lieb) battled the entire race against the No. 62 Risi Ferrari, playing a cat and mouse game in which the two cars switched positions more than a dozen times. It became a contest of wills, playing out in a spectacular finish between Jörg Bergmeister and Jaime Melo. In the last 30 minutes, Jörg (in second place), regained more than 30 seconds on the Ferrari, finally passing Melo on the final turn just yards before the finish, only to have Melo again take the lead and take checkered - one of the closest finishes in Sebring history! This collectible art print, only offered to fans at the Sebring event, is now available to the public. The art print echoes the unique beauty of Sebring in the Spring and the challenges of the famous circuit. Printed on archival quality stock. 24"x18". Designed by Steve Pattee. |

2006 ALMS Season Art Print 2006: the Lizard's third ALMS season. We made it through the tough breaks of 2005, and with new Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs (996-type) we headed back for our third ALMS season. Johannes had a new co-driver, Wolf Henzler in the No. 45 car, while Seth Neiman and Lonnie Pechnik helmed the No. 44 car. The team finished second in the ALMS GT2 drivers' championship and third in the team championship. This art print was produced and offered to the fans only during autograph sessions in 2006. This is the first time the print is available for purchase. 18"x24". Designed by Steve Pattee. |

![]() 2005 Laguna Seca Commemorative Art Print |
2005 Laguna Seca Commemorative Art Print In our second season in the ALMS, we had hoped to hit our stride. Unfortunately, it proved to be a challenging year with significant hurdles, neither car finished a race in the top position. A podium finish in France, at the team's first 24 Heures du Mans helped boost spirits significantly. Even though this was a disappointing year, we were confident we had significantly grown as a team. We offered this beautiful art print at Laguna Seca, our final race of the season. This print was offered to fans only during the autograph session at Laguna Seca. This is the first time that it has been available to the public. 24"x16". Designed by Steve Pattee. |

![]() 2005 12 Hours of Sebring Art Print |
2005 12 Hours of Sebring Art Print 2005 was the Lizard's second season. In the spirit of youthful experimentation, we decided to create a black livery for the No. 45 Porsche. It was met with mixed reviews from fans. We liked it and it photographed well, but there was one problem that we did not anticipate: the black paint got really, really hot in the sun! In 2006, we switched back to our regular red and silver. At Sebring, our team photographer Bob Chapman captured this image of both cars on track at sunset the week prior to the race. This art print was only available to fans during the Sebring autograph session at Sebring in 2005. It's now available for purchase. 20"x16". Designed by Steve Pattee. |

![]() 2004 No. 45 van Overbeek and Law Art Print |
2004 No. 45 van Overbeek and Law Art Print In 2004, as an unknown team Sonoma, California, Flying Lizard took GT2 by storm in their first year of competition in the ALMS. The Lizards had seven podiums in nine races and two class wins that year, including the infamous race at Infineon Raceway, in which the team's win was reduced to a second place finish post race (post podium!) for a rules infraction during the race. It was a tough break for the young team, but we pushed on to secure a second place ALMS team championship and a second place for drivers Johannes van Overbeek and Darren Law in the No. 45 Porsche. To commemorate Johannes' and Darren's breakout year, we produced this print highlighting their intensity. The print was made just for the team and it's the first time we've offered it to the public. 16"x20". Designed by Steve Pattee. |
