July 23, 2011 – Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada – In the No. 45 Flying Lizard Porsche, Joerg Bergmeister clocked the third fastest time in Mosport GT qualifying today: 1:17.312, two-tenths from P2. In the No. 44, Seth Neiman was 14th. The No. 56 BMW was on the GT pole with a time of 1:17.083. The Grand Prix of Mosport will get the green flag on Sunday, July 24 at 3:05 pm ET. For the race, Patrick Long joins Bergmeister in the No. 45 and Marco Holzer will drive with Neiman in the No. 44.

Bergmeister commented, “I was happy with the No. 45 setup today. On my second qualifying lap, which would have been the quickest, I hit traffic with one of the Ferraris. I was able to keep improving over my four laps, but that was all that we had today. We need to finish as high as we can tomorrow, hopefully we’ll be able to keep out of trouble and combine that with good pit stops and we’ll see where we end up.”

The Grand Prix of Mosport will get the green flag at 3:05 pm ET on Sunday July 24. ESPN3.com will carry a live stream of the race. The race will be broadcast tape-delayed on ESPN2 on Sunday July 24, from 10:00 pm to midnight ET and available for replay after the TV broadcast at americanlemans.com.
