PHOENIX, Ariz., (June 8, 2026) – Flying Lizard Motorsports and Colorado MotorSport are set to tackle one of America’s most iconic motorsport events this summer, teaming up for the 2026 Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb presented by Gran Turismo. Colorado native Zach Lumsden will pilot a BMW GT4 EVO in the “Race to the Clouds,” bringing together Flying Lizard’s championship-winning sports car expertise with Colorado MotorSport’s growing history on the mountain.

The 12.42-mile course features 156 turns and climbs more than 4,700 feet from the starting line to the summit of Pikes Peak at 14,115 feet, making it one of the most uniquely demanding and unpredictable events in motorsport.

For Colorado Motorsport and Zach Lumsden, this year’s entry marks the next chapter in a multi-year journey at Pikes Peak. They first competed at the event in 2020, competing in a Mitsubishi EVO X, earning his event-best of seventh place. Two more runs up the mountain followed in 2021 and 2025, but both years, the course was shortened due to severe weather.

This is a return to the mountain for Flying Lizard after previous appearances in 2018 and 2019, where the team impressively earned back-to-back second place finishes racing a McLaren GT3.

The team will race the No. 413 BMW GT4, the same car the team utilizes in the SRO GT America championship. This year’s race consists of six classes and 75 competitors, with the Colorado MotorSport with Flying Lizard entry competing in the Pikes Peak GT4 Trophy by Yokohama class.

The race will take place on Saturday, June 21^st, airing on the RACER Network, and the RACER+ streaming app.
