July 17, 2005 — Sonoma, CA — In today’s Infineon Grand Prix, Flying Lizard Motorsports finished 4th and 7th in GT2. Jon Fogarty brought the No. 45 to 4th place with teammate Johannes van Overbeek, and Lonnie Pechnik finished 7th in the No. 44 with co-driver Seth Neiman.

Pechnik said, “The first half of the race was a lot of fun, battling it out with the No. 50 and the No. 43 cars. By the end of my first stint though, it was tough to stay on top of the car and I came in a little early. Seth did a great job in staying consistent in his stint and we were able to finish strong. I’m really proud of the crew for doing such a great job on our car this weekend and we’re happy about our finish.”

Johannes commented, “The GT2 field was as strong as ever in this race — it’s great to see so much happening in our class this year. For the No. 45, we’ve been fighting the setup all weekend. We improved it a bit for the race but we were still off the pace today. But we’ll focus on getting this sorted before Portland.”

Crew chief Tommy Sadler added, “I am very proud of the entire crew for working so hard to prepare both cars for the race. It was great to see the No. 44 have such a solid run. And in the No. 45, Jon and Johannes were able to take a seventh place race car and finish fourth. We’ve got a lot of work to do between now and Portland but we’ll keep at it until we get it right.”
