SONOMA, Calif., (September 19, 2018) – Flying Lizard Motorsports and partner Toyo Tires have joined forces to give PCA members a private VIP experience leading up to the 2018 Rennsport Reunion VI, the world’s largest gathering of Porsche cars and drivers. The Inaugural Toyo Tires Tour to Rennsport Reunion VI will give Porsche Club of America (PCA) guests a private tour of the Flying Lizard Motorsports shop at Sonoma Raceway on September 26, after which 24 Porsches will drive to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

“We are really excited to be a part of this inaugural Toyo Tires Tour to Rennsport Reunion VI and provide a shop tour of Flying Lizard Motorsports,” said Flying Lizard Program Manager Darren Law. “We have such a storied history with Porsche GT cars and are very proud of all we have accomplished with them. We have worked closely with PCA in the past and look forward to showing off some of our hardware.”

Flying Lizard began its professional motorsports endeavors in 2004 with Porsches, becoming a factory supported team in the American Le Mans Series from 2007 and 2012. Over the course of 15 years, Flying Lizard Porsches have earned 83 podium finishes, 30 wins, and 142 top five finishes. In 2016, the Toyo Tires / Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 RSR finished second in class at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill. The duo partnered up again the following year, clinching the class victory with a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport.

Guests of the PCA Diablo Region and Redwood Region will learn about the team’s history firsthand while touring Flying Lizard’s Sonoma, California shop, which currently holds over 200 trophies from the last 15 years of competition. Following the tour and a small reception, courtesy of Toyo Tires, the Porsche Club of America members will drive together in 24 Porsches to Monterey, California, where the Rennsport Reunion VI will take place, September 27-30.

While Flying Lizard will not be directly participating in Rennsport Reunion VI, Program Manager Darren Law will be available in support of Toyo Tires, and visit former Flying Lizard cars that will be on site. Toyo Tires will also have a display booth, which will feature the 2016 the Toyo Tires / Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.
