Spencer Pumpelly took pole position for Flying Lizard Motorsports in today’s 15-minute GTC qualifying session, setting a lap time of 1:24.118 in the Venezuela / eSilicon / UIS No 45 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. Teammate Nelson Canache Jr. will handle starting duties, with Madison Snow completing the lineup.

Seth Neiman qualified 8th in class and will start the race in the sister PR Newswire / eSilicon No 44, sharing the car with Dion von Moltke and Brett Sandberg.

Flying Lizard currently sits in 1st in the GTC team championship with Spencer and Nelson in 3rd in the GTC driver championship, with everything to be decided in tomorrow’s 10-hour or 1000-mile race.

Tomorrow’s race has particular historical importance as it is the last race in the history of the American Le Mans Series in its current form and the last for the GTC class.

Petit Le Mans Powered by Mazda gets the green flag at 11:30am ET on Saturday, October 19th. The race will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 and 2 from 11:00am to 12:00pm (FS2), 2:30pm to 6:30pm (FS2), 6:30pm to 8:00pm (FS1), and 8:00pm to 9:30pm (FS2) (all times Eastern). The race will be broadcast live online on ALMS.com from 11:00am ET to 9:30pm ET. The race will be broadcast tape delayed and condensed on Fox Sports 1 on Sunday, October 20th, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm ET. Internationally it will be available live on MotorsTV and live online on ALMS.com as well.
