SEBRING, Fla., (May 1, 2024) – The 2024 race season is in full swing for Flying Lizard Motorsports, who now head back to Sebring International Raceway for the next rounds of their three SRO America championships. The race weekend is expected to bring hot temperatures and exciting battles as competitors enter the next rounds of the GT World Challenge America, GT America, and GT4 America series.

Following Sonoma Raceway’s abbreviated weekend due to extensive track repairs, the group of Lizard drivers will be eager to return to a normal race weekend schedule and get a proper amount of testing and practice in before the racing festivities again.

“Sebring is a challenge event, and every lap we can get in before practice helps the team, engineers, drivers, and crew,” said Program Manager Darren Law. “The bumps of Sebring and the expected heat will make us work hard for our success, and we’re ready to get the sessions going and fight for more championship points.”

As Elias Sabo and Andy Lee continue to get acquainted with their brand-new Aston Martin Vantage GT3, the pair continue to improve with every lap. Their first race with the new machine netted a ninth-place finish in round one, which they bettered to a sixth-place in round two. The two participated in the Long Beach Grand Prix less than two weeks ago, earning an impressive top-ten finish in their first race in the heavily competitive IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The extra seat time will bode well for the pair as they prepare for Sebring’s pair of 90-minute races. They have unfinished business at the circuit following last year’s early race contact resulting in Sabo being unable to compete in the weekend’s pair of GT4 America races.

Jason Bell is also continuing his progress in his promotion to the GT3 class of racing in his No. 2 Aston Martin Vantage GT3. He earned a pair of eighth place finishes in the challenging Grand Prix of Long Beach, a race notorious for producing on track incidents. He and teammate Todd Parriott had strong performances all weekend, gaining valuable track time and leaving the weekend without any damage to the cars. Parriott came close to another top-five finish with his sixth-place result at Long Beach but will have another two chances to race up to the front in this weekend’s two 40-minute races.

Parriott and Tom Dyer got the season off to a strong start at Sonoma, earning a fourth-place finish in race one. They’ll be a duo to watch in the No. 13 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the GT4 America championship, as well as Damir Hot and Stefan Rzadzinski in the No. 5 Nissan Z GT4. They earned a pair of top-ten finishes in the opening rounds and are ready to race in the 29-deep car field this weekend. They also still have some learning to do with their new car and will take advantage of the Thursday test day before official sessions get started on Friday.
