AUSTIN, Tex. (April 29, 2026) – Flying Lizard Motorsports continued its strong run of form in SRO America competition, earning a hard-fought podium finish in the three-hour Pirelli GT4 America endurance race at Circuit of The Americas.

Despite showing pole-winning pace in qualifying, a late red flag prevented the full field from completing representative laps, forcing officials to revert to times set in practice two. As a result, Kris Wilson lined up third in the AM class and from the seventh row overall in the 28-car field.

At the green flag, Wilson wasted no time moving forward. He methodically worked through traffic, quickly dispatching multiple competitors before breaking into the top positions in class. Within the opening 15 minutes, he climbed to second in AM, then moved to take the class lead shortly after, putting the No. 413 BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO out front with over two and a half hours still remaining.

Wilson maintained control of the class lead through the opening stint before handing the car over to Zach Lumsden during the first round of pit stops. Rejoining near the front, Lumsden settled into a competitive rhythm as the race began to take shape through pit cycles, penalties, and a full-course caution that reset the field.

At the halfway point, Lumsden kept the car firmly in contention in the top three before returning it to Wilson for his second stint. Once back behind the wheel, Wilson again charged to the front of the AM field, reclaiming the lead and building a commanding advantage of over a minute as the race entered its final phase.

A late full-course caution with just under 30 minutes remaining reshuffled the order, erasing the team’s gap and forcing a strategic pit stop once pit lane reopened. Lumsden then got back behind the wheel for the final run to the checkered flag. The stop dropped the No. 413 to third in class, setting up a short sprint to the finish. Back under green with 20 minutes to go, Lumsden kept the car clean and consistent to bring it home in third place, securing the duo’s second consecutive podium finish.

In GT America Powered by AWS, Craig Lumsden continued his development weekend aboard the No. 610 BMW M4 GT4 (G82), completing both races with clean, consistent performances. He demonstrated steady improvement throughout the event, gaining valuable experience on the demanding COTA circuit and continuing to build confidence in his first full season of competition. Lumsden finished both races of the weekend in second position earning the team additional podium finishes.

Flying Lizard Motorsports now turns its attention to the next round at the Miami Grand Prix as a support race during the F1 weekend, where the team will compete in McLaren Trophy America with Philip Ploskas and Johnny O’Connell. The pair will race twice during the weekend, with race one scheduled for 6:05 PM CT Saturday and race two at 8:35 AM CT Sunday. Both races will stream live on YouTube at youtube.com/gtworld.
