Flying Lizard Motorsports was founded in late by Seth Neiman, establishing its base at Sonoma Raceway in California, where it would operate for the next two decades. From the outset, the team proved immediately competitive in the American Le Mans Series, contending for race wins against the series veterans and factory-backed efforts in their freshman 2004 effort. By 2006, Flying Lizard had gone a step further, surpassing Porsche’s own factory effort in the championship standings and cementing itself as a true force in endurance racing.

From 2007 through 2012, Flying Lizard became an official Porsche Motorsport North America development partner as the factory-supported team. With this new partnership solidified, Flying Lizard continued to thrive, securing a total of six team and driver titles in the American Le Mans Series, and a podium at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Lizard red-and-silver Porsche livery became a fan-favorite, now hailed as a Porsche classic look.

Though Porsche shifted their factory program in 2012, Flying Lizard’s imprint on professional sports-car racing remained etched in the history of the sport. Their success helped shape the GT landscape, proving that a well-prepared and well-organized team can rival factory operations.

Today, based in a new state-of-the-art facility in Maricopa, Arizona, Flying Lizard has applied their successful formula to now include new manufacturers and additional racing series to include GT World Challenge America, GT America, GT4 America, McLaren Trophy, and Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America.

With 24 professional team and driver championship titles on their wall, Flying Lizard has a well-established recipe for excellence.
