August 03, 2012 – Lexington, Ohio – Patrick Long qualified the No. 45 Flying Lizard Porsche 911 GT3 RSR third in GT for tomorrow’s Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge, the sixth race on the 2012 ALMS schedule. Seth Neiman qualified the No. 44 12th on the GT grid. The No. 55 BMW is on the GT pole.

Chief strategist Thomas Blam commented, “Overall, we’re pleased with the qualifying run today. Our fast time was 1.5 seconds faster than last year, and historically we’ve seen that our race pace here is better than our qualifying pace. In our final practice session today, the car seemed to be really good – even on old tires – and the drivers are happy with the setup. We’re optimistic about the race pace of the car tomorrow.”

The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge gets the green flag at 1:05 pm ET on Saturday August 4, 2012. ABC will broadcast the event, featuring live coverage which begins at 2 p.m. ET. The race will also be broadcast live in Europe on MotorsTV, in Latin America/Middle East on Fox and in Canada on Rogers Sports Net.
