March 15, 2013 – Sebring, Florida – Flying Lizard completed today’s GTC qualifying session for the 12 Hours of Sebring with the fourth and seventh fastest times in class. Spencer Pumpelly will start the race in fourth place in the No 45 911 GT3 Cup car with a time of 2:05.765, and Alex Imperatori clocked a 2:06.059 in the No 44, good for seventh place in class.

Spencer reported, “We had a very good car in qualifying, and all of the hard work from the team and engineers has moved us forward a great deal throughout the week. We stuck to our plan to limit the number of laps on the tires so that we can start the race with the freshest tires possible, and we are happy with the competitiveness of the car in the qualifying session and especially for race start.”

Alex added, “Overall I’m very satisfied with my first ever qualifying in the ALMS and at Sebring, although of course I would have liked to have gone a bit quicker and feel that there were a couple more tenths that I could have found – it was really just about stringing it all together. That said, tomorrow is the big focus, and I’m confident that the drivers and team will do a great job.”

The 2013 12 Hours of Sebring gets the green flag at 10:30am ET on Saturday, March 16th. It will be broadcast live on Speed from 10:30am to 12:00pm ET and 1:00pm to 7:30pm ET, with tape delayed coverage of the finish from 10:30pm to 1:00am ET. Internationally the race will be broadcast on ALMS.com from 10:30am to 11:00pm ET.
